Tassotti Design
Grafiche Tassotti is an historic Italian printing house based in Bassano del Grappa, celebrated for its high-quality decorative papers, fine stationery, and traditional art prints.
The roots of the company are deeply intertwined with the legendary Remondini printing house, an enormous 17th- and 18th-century publishing empire that once employed over a thousand workers and distributed woodblock prints worldwide.
After the Remondini firm ceased operations in 1861, Bassano’s rich printmaking tradition lay dormant for nearly a century until Giorgio Tassotti revived the craft in 1957. Collaborating with the local City Museum, Tassotti began reissuing meticulous reproductions of historical patterns, effectively positioning his workshop as the modern heir to the region's graphic heritage.
Today, Grafiche Tassotti operates as a globally recognized family business that masterfully bridges centuries-old artistic heritage with modern eco-friendly craftsmanship.
Beyond commercial success, the Tassotti family remains deeply committed to cultural preservation, having played a pivotal role in founding the Remondini Museum at Palazzo Sturm in 2007. Their vibrant collection of notebooks, origami sets, greeting cards, and wrapping paper ensures that the historic art of Venetian printmaking remains a tactile, living tradition in the 21st century.
